If it's not one thing, it's another...

So, as you have all heard by now, our reunion was cancelled and indefinitely postponed because of a problem at Vintage Court. Well, no one could have predicted this, and I guess it's just something you have to deal with.

Anyway, for those of you who were able to attend our "impromtu" reunion at Carretta's and The Tap Room last Saturday, thanks for coming. We all had a wonderful time catching up with classmates.

Now, for the "real deal." We are working on a new date to reschedule the reunion. Once we have that date, we will announce it.

However, as it is unlikely that the reunion will be rescheduled during the high school football season, there will be no event for Friday night at Cow Palace. We apologize for this, but it's really out of our control.

Also, as the reunion may take place later in the year, when the weather is colder, we are unsure about a day at the park. However, nothing is certain now.

For the above reasons, we are open to suggestions regarding family friendly events to take place that weekend. If you have any suggestions or concerns, please contact us at covingtonhighalumni1998@gmail.com. All of your opinions are appreciated.

Well, maybe we misjudged the interest in a ten year high school reunion...or maybe we misjudged the number of procrastinators in our class!

In order for the cocktail party to proceed we need payments from approximately 100 more people before August 15, 2008. That's about two weeks from now. One hundred people...that means classmates, spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends, bestfriends, etc. It doesn't matter the make up of those 100 people, just that they buy a ticket.

The ticket price is $50.00 per person. The cocktail party is at Vintage Court in Covington on Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 7pm to 10pm. There will be food and an open bar. Please make checks payable to Kelly McCall Brian and forward them to:

As we reported earlier, the "main event" of our ten year high school reunion will be the cocktail party at Vintage Court on Saturday, September 6, 2008. This event will include hors d'oeuvres, a buffet, and an open bar. The event is open to all students and teachers of the class of 1998 and their spouses, fiancees, and significant others.

The prices for the cocktail party are listed below. As you will notice, attendees who pay early will receive a discounted rate. The prices are as follows.

Pay by July 15, 2008 - $45 per person
Pay by August 15, 2008 - $50 per person
Pay on September 6, 2008 - $55 per person
